As spring travelers search for vacation destinations that bring fun, sun, and family time, it is easy to see why Jackson Hole is a popular choice! If you haven't yet planned a spring trip to Jackson Hole, then it is time to add it to your to-do list! To inspire you, here are a few activities you can enjoy while you're in town.

Hit the Slopes

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has some of the best ski slopes in the world! The latter half of ski season always brings bluebird days, snow stability, and stellar lines off of big peaks. The slopes stay open until mid-April, so you can ski and snowboard well into the spring. Pack your sunscreen and get ready to have some fun!

Visit a National Park

Although many of the hiking trails will be snowy and/or muddy, spring is still a great time to visit one of the national parks near Jackson Hole! Advantages to a spring visit include low crowds and unrivaled wildlife viewing. Yellowstone's bison are particularly active in the spring, giving you a great chance at spotting one! Along with bison, animals such as elk, bears, moose, bighorn rams, and pronghorns can be spotted at Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park.

Before you visit, be sure to check for updates on road conditions! For information on Grand Teton, see: https://www.nps.gov/grte/planyourvisit/roads.htm and for information on Yellowstone, see: https://www.nps.gov/yell/planyourvisit/parkroads.htm

Try Fly Fishing

Spring is the best time to fly fish in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. In early spring, the days begin to warm but the snow hasn't melted, leading to perfect fishing conditions. Bundle up and try your hand at catching trout!

During this time of the year, it is usually ideal to fish from the shore or by wading, but be sure to speak with local fishing guides to make sure you're prepared for daily conditions!
