While some people are counting down the days until ski season, summer in Jackson Hole is not over quite yet.  Mid to end of August (and into early September) is a prime time to experience summer in Wyoming at its finest. The height of the summer tourism season has calmed down allowing this iconic Wyoming mountain town an experience to indulge in.

Explore the downtown shops, restaurants and art galleries.  Pop into a flyfishing shop or white water rafting company to sign up for a trip on the water.  It is a prime time to flyfish and the views will provide a fishing trip of a lifetime.  There is nothing quite like a fish biting on your line as you reel in the beautiful fish in a stunning mountain backdrop.

See the land from the river and get your adrenaline as you coast through rapids on a guided white water rafting trip.  The days are still warm enough where you’ll enjoy the refreshing river splashing on your toes.  The experienced guides will help you feel safe and secure in the raft while providing an epic journey down the river.

Drive into Yellowstone Park and enjoy one of the most popular and iconic National Parks.  Hike into the beautiful mountains and explore the wild land.

Attend an end of summer event or activity taking place at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.  ‘Bikes, Brews, and Baskets’ is a family-friendly event coming up on August 24th.  From 9 am to 6 pm celebrate in the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort lifestyle with mountain biking, disc golf, live music and a Brewfest.  Sounds like a fun combination!  All proceeds benefit Friends of Pathways and this all-day event will have something for all ages.
