This weekend, join Jackson Hole for a fun filled event of all things Backcountry. The annual Backcountry Basecamp takes place this weekend, February 29th through March 1st (Schedule Below). They will have ski demos, educational workshops and tons of new gear to check out. And to test the gear, Jackson Hole Guides will be on site leading tours through the resort's gates.
Educational Workshops
Educational workshops for the event include reading avalanche forecasts from the Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center, beacon searches, and identifying snow Red Flags. These workshops are great for becoming aware of avalanche hazards and the safety behind a successful ski tour . They are also great for those who may already tour and want to freshen up their skills! All are welcome and if you have never been in the backcountry before, this is a great opportunity to come familiar! Following the event you can even check back in with the Jackson Hole Guides to get a private tour booked just for you!
Après Raffle
Saturday evening, head over to Alpenhof for an Après party including drinks, cheer, and a raffle! The raffle is $10 to enter and includes $4000 work of stellar gifts. They will be drawing the winners at 5pm. All proceeds will be going toward the Teton County Search and Rescue.We’ll see you there!
